MASON CITY – A man who aimed his air-soft gun at a woman when his drug deal went bad was arrested again this week in Mason City.
Michael Isiah Schenker, age 18 now of Mason City and claiming via social media to work at KFC, was picked up Wednesday at about 3 PM near Connecticut Avenue and 9th Street SE by Cerro Gordo deputies for driving while suspended. Schenker was arrested, taken to jail, booked and released.
Schenker was found guilty by a Cerro Gordo county jury on March 3 of simple assault and third degree harassment for an incident on November 19, 2013, when he and a woman couldn’t agree on a drug deal and he pointed an air-soft gun at her before fleeing through the Cultural Crecent, only to be caught by police. He sentenced to 30 days in jail on both counts, to be served consecutively, and ordered to pay $1,209.75 in court costs.
