MASON CITY – An undercover narcotics investigation by the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force led to the arrest of Jordan Nicholas Pohlman, age 21, of Mason City.

Pohlman was picked up on 3rd Street NE in East Park Thursday at about 5:08 PM.

Pohlman was charged with Delivery of Marijuana a class “D” felony. Pohlman was transported to Cerro Gordo County Jail where he later bonded out of jail on a $5000 cash or surety bond.

A search warrant was executed at 3 Bullis Ct. in Mason City as a result of the arrest and more charges are pending. The case is still under investigation.

Pohlman still owes $1,750.30 after a deferred judgement he received in 2009 for a 3rd degree burglary charge.  He was also given 6 months in a residential correction facility for probation violation.  Pohlman subsequently escaped later in 2009 from what appears to be BeJe Clark Residential Facility as the Mason City Police Department filed the complaint that Pohlman had escaped.

Among other violations, Pohlman also owes $991.56 for a guilty plea in 2009 for a controlled substance violation.

  1. As a parent sometimes all you can do is try the best you can to show your kids the right path, and hope they don’t make the same mistakes and to be a better person. And maybe it didn’t work out that way for the parent of this kid. But it must not have worked out that way the Anonymous writer’s parents. To me they sound as bad as the kid thats in this.

  2. I think we should all write to the State AG and demand that the law be changed so that all past fines and fees be added to any new bail should a person be arrested and that they have to be paid before a person can get out on bond. You can’t sell a house without paying liens against you. Why should you get out of jail free? These dealers have the bucks, they just don’t pay.

    1. @Katie-Great idea. We can always try but will probably be told that it can’t be done because it is a violation of their rites. All they do now is refuse to give them a drivers license and these guys don’t care. They just drive anyway. The last place i worked before retirement had over 50% of their workforce on 3rd shift driving without a license because they hadn’t paid their fines. They don’t care because if they get caught they just get another fine that they won’t pay. It goes on and on.

  3. This guy might live in Clear Lake but he is not FROM Clear Lake. Another example of these people that came to small town Iowa because we are easy marks and our judges are proving it to them.
