Construction Update from the Mason City School District:
Phase 3A – JAMS/MCHS Cafeteria Areas Larson Contacting
o Exterior punchlist was inspected last week.
o Closeout documents are being submitted.
Phase 3B – Henkel Construction
o JAMS 1st Floor
o West side casework is being installed.
o West side ceiling grid installation.
o West side electrical devices are being installed and trimmed out.
o Flooring will begin in the next two weeks.
o Lockers are being installed in corridor.
o East side walls are being painted and casework will begin once that is complete.
o JAMS 2nd Floor
o Casework, marker boards and flooring are complete.
o Installing door hardware and tack surfaces.
o Restroom fixtures are being installed.
o Punchlist is scheduled for May 16th.
o High School Music/Other Areas
o Framing is almost complete in Area A.
o Spray foam insulation and drywall will start within the next two weeks in Area A.
o High School music wing interior demolition is almost complete.
o Structural steel for High School mechanical mezzanine is being installed.
Phase 4 FEMA Safe Room – Holland Contracting: Pictures included of FEMA progress
o Concrete toppings at 2nd floor are complete. Prepping for concrete floor at Multipurpose Room.
o Masonry walls at 2nd floor are being constructed.
o HVAC ductwork above the Stage is being installed.
o Reinforcing and concrete roof slab will start this week.
Phase 5 MCHS Two-story – Dean Snyder Contracting
o Temporary chilled water lines are being run in the lower level mechanical room.
o General contractor will mobilize when school dismisses in June.
