AMES, Iowa – Aug. 14, 2012 – Today, the Iowa Transportation Commission approved a Revitalize Iowa’s Sound Economy (RISE) Local Development grant application submitted by Butler County. Up to $303,496 will be made available to assist in construction of approximately 2,400 feet of new roadway north of 220th Street, located northwest of Shell Rock. This project is anticipated to be completed by July 2013.
This project is necessary to provide access to more than 31 acres for industrial and manufacturing purposes.
Funding for the grant comes from the county share of the RISE Fund.
