Toeterville Man loses his life on Interstate 35 Friday Evening

Friday evening at 5:52 pm a fatal accident occurred at the 193 mile marker on Interstate 35.

Frederick Langrock, age 74, of Toeterville, lost his life when the vehicle he was driving, a 2004 Chevy Astro Van struck a Dina Charter Bus, driven by  Picazo Galanneri, age 51, from Waco, Texas.

Both vehicles were traveling southbound on Interstate 35.  Langrock’s Astro Van came to rest on the inside shoulder of the Interstate.  Galanneri had left the scene, but was later located.

Langrock was wearing his seatbelt.  He was transported to Mercy Medical Hospital in Mason City.

Assisted by Clear Lake Police Department, Clear Lake Fire and Rescue, Clear Lake Ambulance and the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, the accident remains under investigation.

Vehicles were moved with the help of Frank’s Towing and Tony’s Towing.
