As three council members leave the Mason City City Council, three new persons were sworn in on Wednesday.
Alex Kuhn, John Lee and Jean Marinos are not officially council members yet, but there was a swearing in ceremony held Wednesday at City Hall.
“It was my great honor to be sworn in as an At-Large City Councilman for the City of Mason City,” said Mason City’s new At-Large Councilman Alex Kuhn.
“Over the next 4 years, I look forward to working to the best of my ability with our Mayor, City Council and all members of our community to address the challenges in front of us and build upon our many tremendous opportunities to ensure that Mason City is one of the best communities in Iowa to live, work, and raise a family.”
Typically, a swearing in will also take place at the first City Council meeting in January after an election.

Yes she is very vindictive if she does not like you. She throws temper tantrums when things dont go her way. Hopefully NIT watches this crew closely so the little guy doesn’t get trampled.
There are people that want to work hard and make this town a better place. They selflessly serve the church, their neighbors, their community. They offer themselves to civic organizations and service clubs. They find a board or commission to serve. Eventually, they run for office and are elected by a wide margin because others recognize the selflessness of these people and that they will work tirelessly to make MC a better town.
Makes me want to vomit that Kuhn & Marinos are in there. Just awful people.
