WASHINGTON, D.C. – Iowa Congressman Rod Blum, who represents counties in North Iowa, will remain under investigation for his alleged business dealings connected to an online company he owns.

According to DCC.org, Republican Congressman Rod Blum allegedly hid his role as CEO of an internet company called Tin Moon.  The site reported, “Earlier this year, an Associated Press report revealed that Blum hid his role as CEO of Tin Moon, an internet marketing firm that profits from burying damaging information online about companies with questionable practices, including FDA healthy and safety violations.  Blum, a member of the House Small Business Committee and House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, was caught using taxpayer resources to promote the company, including wearing his official pin in promotional materials and featuring his top staffer in testimonial videos.”

Blum has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee.  This week, the Ethics Committee announced their investigation into Blum will continue.

Blum was elected to Congress in 2014 as Iowa’s 1st Congressional District Representative.
