She graduated from Sheffield-Chapin High School in 1981 and later graduated from Hamilton Business School in Mason City, Iowa. In 1984, Linda met Dawayne Germundson. They were later married and had one son, Kyle, born in 1989. Though they eventually divorced, they remained dedicated parents to Kyle. Throughout her career, Linda held a variety of positions and was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked at several companies over the years, including Sukup Manufacturing, Alexander Technologies, and UNI-Select. She also worked for many years as the Manager of Kramer Ace Hardware where she made many friends. She was most recently employed at Metalcraft, until her passing.
Linda loved to travel and made memories all over the country from the beaches of Hawaii to the bright lights of Las Vegas and the coast of Florida. She went on countless trips around the United States with Dave and many close friends from Yellowstone National Park, to Missouri, to Sturgis, and various stops in between. She also enjoyed trips with her son Kyle, especially visits to theme parks and to see family in Florida. She was always up for an adventure. Linda had a fun-loving spirit and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, going to concerts and festivals, playing bingo, and trying her luck at a casino. She had a big heart for animals and treated everyone like family. Some of her happiest moments were spent watching her son Kyle race and spending time with her granddaughter Hayden, who filled her heart with joy and never failed to make her smile. She accompanied her granddaughter trick-or-treating every year, beginning from the time Hayden first learned to walk.
