FORT DODGE – A Bloods gang member leapt from a window in a Fort Dodge house to evade cops, but was caught and arrested, police say.
On September 21, 2022, in coordination with the United States Marshal’s Service, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division obtained information that a federal fugitive from Omaha, Nebraska was within the city limits of Fort Dodge.
Through information gathered by law enforcement, it was determined that Cameron D. Carodine, a known Bloods criminal street gang member, was wanted on outstanding warrants related to a federal investigation based out of Omaha, Nebraska.
Law enforcement located Carodine at a residence in Fort Dodge and upon entry to the residence, Carodine leapt from a second story window and attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended.
Carodine was transported to Unity Point Medical Center for clearance and ultimately booked into the Webster County Jail on a hold order for his federal criminal case. Carodine will be transported to the federal courthouse in Sioux City, Iowa, where he will make his initial appearance and then transported to Omaha, Nebraska to face his criminal offenses.
The Webster County Sheriffs Office is actively investigating this incident and criminal charges may be filed on individuals who assisted Carodine in evading arrest in Fort Dodge.
The Webster County Sheriff s Office was assisted in the arrest by members of the United States Marshals Service (Northern and Southern District of Iowa) and the Fort Dodge Police Department K9 Unit.
