BREMER COUNTY – A Charles City man is facing felony drunk driving charges in two different Northern Iowa counties.
On October 15, 2020, the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office stopped to check on a vehicle on the side of a road. Further investigation led to the arrest of 22-year-old Michael Lensing of Charles City for felony third-offense operating while intoxicated. Lensing has entered a not-guilty plea and awaits a jury trial set for February 4, 2021.
Records show Lensing was arrested by the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office a week later, on October 22, 2020 on charges of felony third-offense operating while intoxicated and interference with official acts. Lensing has not yet entered a plea on the felony drunk driving charge.
Lensing was arrested on drunk driving charges by Nora Springs police in 2017 and Kossuth County Sheriffs in 2018 and found guilty both times.
