Evelyn Schwarck, 90, of Eldora, IA, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Ivester Church of Brethren in Grundy Center, IA. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Inurnment will take place at Sheller Cemetery. A time for fellowship where ice cream will be provided will be at the church following the committal service.
Evelyn was born March 16, 1935, in Eldora. She was the daughter of Henry and Marie (Lamparter) Muhlena. Evelyn married the love of her life Maurice Schwarck on June 28, 1953. She worked at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad, IA for 32 years. Evelyn has been a lifetime member of the Ivester Church of Brethren. She loved to do so many things and keep busy. Evelyn enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren show sheep, cattle, hogs, poultry at the Grundy County, Hardin County and State Fairs. She also loved to sew, read, scrap book, cook and help her great grandchildren with school projects. Through her life she cherished watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports.
Evelyn will be missed by her four children; Deanna (Grant) Primus of Janesville, IA, Gregg Schwarck of Marshalltown, IA, Brian Schwarck of Eldora, IA, Mike Schwarck of Eldora, IA, two grandchildren; Sara (Jeff Mather) Behrends of Janesville, IA, Jon (Amee Harris) Primus of Denver, IA, six great grandchildren; Annika, Zane, Mya, Addison, Tyson, Cam, three siblings; Judy McCoy, of Burlington, IA, Dave (Pat) Muhlena of Union, IA, and Kenny (Cindy) Muhlena of Dunbar, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband; Maurice, three sisters; Rita Hammond, Lillian, Michaelson, Carolyn Muhlena, and a brother, Gehrhart Muhlena.
