MASON CITY – According to a Mason City Police Department incident summary report, police were called to 938 North Federal Ave. Apartment #1 Thursday at 1:16 p.m. for a disturbance.
An NIT reader who was listening to the emergency scanner said that emergency responders were told that someone had “threatened to use a knife” if help didn’t arrive.
Police did not confirm any weapons at the scene and would not confirm anything outside of the police report information. That report said that five officers responded to the scene and “all parties were separated.”
The complainant was listed as Deoshea Rae Foster-Peggs, 22, one of the founders of a Facebook group called Fed^ North Iowa which local media has been following. The group, which has now migrated the cause to a Facebook page, states in its “About” section that “Tara Mikkelsen and Deoshea Foster, the two young women who founded the Non for Profit Organization “Fed ^ North Iowa”. We have a very bright vision of bringing harmony to the residents of North Iowa.”
Fed Up founder Kellie An Clark did not immediately respond to questions about the incident.

I am not going to apologize for not answering you right away I have three children who come before any of you and your comments! As for what you have said before we just got our certificate in the mail. We had to wait to get it before we could do anything. I will be posting on our new site as we get our projects lined up. Non-Profits are allowed to pay their board members a salary or commission that coincidentally they decide. This is the intent here, why do you think they changed their names from founder or admins to CEO, Vice Pres, Ect. That way any money they take home they can call a salary or commission. By forming their own non-profit and not volunteering to help established organization they just figured out away to get paid instead of volunteering.

Please, PLEASE be very careful when listening to police scanners. It is perfectly legal to own and listen, however, Federal Communications Commission have very strict rules about sharing publicly what you hear.
Case in point, a Florida couple got into a heap of legal problems when they just so happened to have their scanner attached to a tape recorder while listening to a cordless phone conversation of a powerful individual. They released the tape to the media, and ended up in jail.
Otherwise, very good story – can’t claim you don’t have history with today’s on-line records.

Ok, so not trying to bash ANYONE, because I DO NOT KNOW any of the parties involved, but…kudos for trying to do this, but maybe you should have looked at it from a different angle. You should have gotten someone, and yes I am sorry to say,with a very clean cut reputation to be the “spokesperson” for the group, and maybe not mention ones who have had problems for the sake of everything that has been going on since the site has been up. More people are willing to follow a leader who actually LEADS in the community and is expirienced in leading groups such as this. I totally agree with all the crap stopping in this town, because I formost want to get my family out of this town. How do we expect to get families to move to this town if they research for jobs here, and find out what this place is, is only a “Little Chicago”? This town is being torn apart by stupid people thinking…okay…KNOWING they are going to get away with things!! Like I said, I am all about fixing up this town, but a wise move to select some leaders that have a record of trustworthiness and an END result on their resume would probably have gotten more supporters.

WHOA, let’s slow down and breathe for a second…I mean, we don’t even know all the details so it would not be fair to pass judment on Ms. Foster OR FedupNI or whatever they call it. HOWEVER, just the same, we don’t know. Kellie, i need you to listen VERY closely here. You seem to me to be a young woman full of conviction, pride and determination. You stand proud in the face of adversity and handle yourself in a very adult manner for someone of your age when confronted and forced to defend. I commend you on that. But no matter how well you handle the accusations and resistance to your cause, you need to understand that you will always be portrayed in similar manner of your peers in which you keep association with. Sometimes a group or company with make a formal separation to the media from the accused or questionable in the interim of the fact finding as a means to protect the core of it’s values or mission statement. You have many times made public separation from the cause of the group to the actions/comments both past and present to that of one Ms. Deoshea “AW-Mazing” Rae Foster-Peggs. I wish to know, how serious you really are. How important is this cause to you? Are you willing to make a formal separation from Ms. Foster in leiu of the best interest of the group and the cause until such time that Ms. Foster has the ability to PROVE her legitamacy in spite of this situation, and the situations and questionable behavior of her past? Some say a picture is worth a thousand words. I say it’s one’s actions that are priceless. You want us to hear you…well, actions speak louder than words so here’s your opportunity to be loud and clear. What do you want people to think about when they hear of your cause? Your conviction or the questionable behavior of your affiliation? How serious are you REALLY? Here’s your chance…make us all believers. Make a formal report to the media of your position but NOT on a blog. Do it on an interview. Be serious to be taken Seriously.

Looks more to me like people having to use the court system to obtain money rightfully owed to them when she tries to deny then thier rightful payment like a responsibe member of society. Sound liget living beyond ones means then not paying people who trusted her to remit payment.
Of those charges, 4 are evictions, 3 w/ still unpaid court fines; 1 was for a bad check & 1 more is for an unpaid dentist bill.
$400+ left unpaid from March 2010 driving while revoked/suspended /cancelled.
Almost $500 still unpaid for failure to return registration in March 2010.
A 5th degree theft conviction.
$700+ still owed from a 2009 convition of no financial liability.
$480+ still owed from another no liability conviction in 2009.
$1300+ owed from a 2010 no liability.
$150 owed from 2010 no registration.
$300+ still unpaid from improper use of registration in 2010.
$150 still unpaid no registration in 2009.
$100 left on a 2011 driving w/ “no” license.
$430+ not paid on a 2011 driving with suspended license or registration.
The rest were speeding tickets and 1 drinking under age.
I will say she’s done slightly better paying her fines than Deoshea & not quite the criminal history, but obviously she had & has no sense of financial responsibility ie the multiple evictions and the older court fees still unpaid.
She chose to drive repeatedly knowing she didn’t have insurance, license, proper registration.
Baaahhhhh Haaahhhhh! I said it before and I’ll gladly say it again…..I knew it! So much for them trying to clean up Mason City. What a joke.
If this group wants to succeed and be taken serious then I suggest Kellie rid of a few “Founders”. Deoshea is only bringing this group down. She needs to deal with her issues before going any further!
