Jerry Schroeder, 69, of Greene, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Allison. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Woodley Funeral Home in Greene. Jerry will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Greene at a later date. Woodley Funeral Home of Greene is caring for Jerry and his family.
Jerry Clifford Schroeder was born August 10, 1955, in Hampton, son of Howard and Shirley (Salge) Schroeder. He graduated from Greene High School, class of 1973. Jerry furthered his education at Hawkeye Tech, receiving a degree in mechanics. He was a machine operator at Eaton in Belmond for 20 years.
Jerry spent most of his time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He looked forward to attending Sturgis in South Dakota every year. Jerry also loved old classic cars and attending car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Jerry is survived by his sister, Jan Miller of Mason City, and her daughter Abby Miller and her daughter Mya McWilliams; brother, Allen (Olene) Schroeder of Greene, and their daughter Elizabeth (Wes) Lefferts and their children Emma and Hayden. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Shirley Schroeder.
