Brigett A. Mitchell, 69 of Mason City, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at her home.
A Celebration of life will be held 10:30 am, Saturday March 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church, 125 E. State ST., Mason City. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Bringman. Brigett was a donation to the University of Iowa. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
Her family moved many times to various locals and states. She has lived in North Iowa since 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She waitressed at many restaurants around North Iowa. She loved attending the semi-professional hockey games as well as attending her children and grandchildren’s matches. She was a collector of many things but especially angels and snowmen. One of her favorite trips was to the land of two lakes in Kentucky with her husband Donald Mitchell who she was united in marriage on April 26, 1986 at the Kensett Methodist Church.
Surviving Brigett is her husband of just shy of 39 years Donald Mitchell, her daughter Amber and husband Pat Walker Mason City, two sisters Karen “Don” Gerken, Polk City, Florida, Robin “Steven” Cohen, Wentzville, Missouri, three grandchildren Daniel “Konty” Allen, Derek Walker, Addy Walker and her fiancé Derek Dalen, and four great grandchildren, Braydon, Kyson, Caelum, and Alaia Allen.
Preceding her in death are her parents, in-laws, son Chuck Allen in 2013, and brother Doug Powell
