Robert Eugene “Bob” Govern, 73, of Mason City, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025 at Good Shepherd Health Care Center.
Graveside Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th St, Mason City, Iowa.

Bob was born on March 1, 1951, to James and Florence (Abbas) Govern in Blue Earth, Minnesota. He graduated from Blue Earth High School and spent his career working in various roles, primarily in evening cleanup and construction. He was employed at Armour in Mason City and Schwigert in Albert Lea.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed bowling, trying his luck with scratch-off tickets and lottery games, and, most of all, playing bingo. He had a deep love for music and could often be found singing along to his favorite songs. For the past 15 years, he lived at Shalom Towers, where he formed friendships with his neighbors.
Those left to cherish memories of Bob are his siblings, Jane Roach of Mason City, IA, Mary Quevedo of Menifee, CA, Marge (Mike) Connor of Litchfield, MN, Jim Govern of Blue Earth, MN, and Steven (Judy) Govern of Lakeville, MN; brother-in-law, Mark Faber of Braham, MN; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Carol Faber and Theresa Govern; brother-in-laws, Tom Roach and Louis Quevedo.
