MASON CITY – The following are the expenses paid by Cerro Gordo county and Board of Supervisor meeting minutes for the period ending on November 25, 2024:
PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
November 26, 2024
The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa,
met in special session pursuant to adjournment at
2:30 p.m. Present: Chairperson Lori Meacham Ginapp,
Vice Chairperson Chris Watts, Supervisor Casey
Callanan, and various members of the public.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve today’s
agenda. Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to adopt
Resolution 2024-85, Whereas the General Election was
held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024; and, Whereas the
official canvass of the results of the General Election by
the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors was held
on November 13, 2024; and, Whereas the Board has
publicly and duly met and opened and canvassed the tally
lists from the November 5, 2024 General Election; and,
Whereas a recount was requested by Lori Meacham
Ginapp for Board of Supervisor District 3, Whereas during
the recount it was found that there were 3,108 votes cast
for Carl Ginapp and there were 3,105 votes cast for Lori
Meacham Ginapp, Whereas the Board has publicly and
duly met and re-canvassed the election in the Board of
Supervisor District 3 race. Now, therefore, the Board of
Supervisors hereby certifies and declares the final results
of the election in the official abstract of the election. Motion
passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to adjourn at
2:31 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.

placed on file with the supplemental minutes.

The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in special session pursuant to adjournment at
2:00 p.m. Present: Vice Chairperson Chris Watts, Supervisor Casey Callanan, and various members of the
public. Absent: Chairperson Lori Meacham Ginapp.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve today’s agenda. Motion passed.
Public comment session was held.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to adopt Resolution 2024-84, Whereas the General Election was
held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024; and, Whereas the official canvass of the results of the West Fork School District by the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on November 19, 2024; and, Whereas the Board has publicly and duly met and opened and canvassed the election abstracts of the various counties in the West Fork School District. Now, therefore, the Board of Supervisors hereby certifies and declares the final results of the election in the official abstract of this canvass, including the passage or failure of the public measure on the ballot. Motion passed.

The Board of Supervisors of Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, met in regular session pursuant to adjournment. Present:
Chairperson Lori Meacham Ginapp, Vice Chairperson Chris Watts, Supervisor Casey Callanan, and various
members of the public.
Chairperson Meacham Ginapp convened the meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve today’s agenda and minutes for November 18, 2024
regular session and November 19, 2024 special session.
Motion passed unanimously.
Public comment session was held.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve claims. Motion passed unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to approve the payroll register for period ending 11/16/2024. Motion
passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to authorize Rodney McKinney to conduct field review on the following
drainage district:
Work Order Number 2024112001
Drainage District: 110

Problem: Tile backfall and slow drain
Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the Auditor’s Quarterly Report of Fees. Motion passed
unanimously.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to certify the cost of the Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Special Election. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to abate taxes on mobile home at 5851 Southshore Drive, Lot 32 in the
amount of $180. Motion passed unanimously.
Callanan moved with Watts seconding, to approve the Medical Provider Employment Contract with North Iowa
Family Health Care PLC Nicolle Lea Medina and authorize the Chair to sign. Motion passed unanimously.
County Engineer Billings provided an update.
Watts moved with Callanan seconding, to adjourn at 10:10 a.m. Motion passed unanimously.
