Gene Stinson, 87, of Iowa Falls, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 at his Iowa Falls home. A public visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Woodley Funeral Home.

Gene Stinson, 87, of Iowa Falls, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024 at his Iowa Falls home. A public visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Woodley Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will be held following visitation. Gene will be laid to rest at the Alden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Iowa Falls Scenic City Civic Foundation. Woodley Funeral Home of Iowa Falls is caring for Gene and his family.

Gene Edwin Stinson was born on January 25, 1937 to Merton and Olive (Crouse) Stinson in Tucson, Arizona. He graduated from East High School in Des Moines, Iowa class of 1955.

On December 8, 1973 Gene was united in marriage to Victoria Mulligan in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Vicki was the love of his life. They lived in Iowa Falls, California and Las Vegas through the years. When Gene retired in 2005, he and Vicki moved back to Iowa Falls permanently.

Gene worked as a salesman for many automobile companies and was quite the entrepreneur, designing cars and consulting in the automotive industry. He was very proud of the automotive work he did in Italy, specifically with Lamborghini and Ferrari, as well as other statewide companies in his later work years. He was also a silent partner in his brother Lee’s business, Stinson Excavating in Iowa Falls, Iowa.

Gene is survived by his son, Paul (Donna) Servello of Henderson, Nevada; grandchildren, Chris (Kim) Servello of Redlands, California and Nicole (Ryan Asevedo) Servello of Mentone, California; great-grandchildren, Makenna and Devin Servello of Redlands, California and Josiah Asevedo of Mentone, California; sister in-law, Betty Stinson of Iowa Falls, Iowa; nieces, Debra (Darwin) Miller of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Susan (Ken) Toomsen of Ames, Iowa, Valerie (Roger) Tendall of Nevada, Iowa, Terry (Bruce) Peyton of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Bev Briggs of Stratford, Iowa and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki Stinson; parents, Merton and Olive Stinson; sister, Wilma (Marlyn) Maine and his brothers, Lee, Ray and Joe Stinson.
