WEST UNION – A Northern Iowa woman allegedly stole herself a shiny white Cadillac, then was caught as she carelessly tooled around in the luxury vehicle the next day.

On July 25, 2024, at 11:24 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center took a report of a stolen vehicle that was parked near the Fayette County Fairgrounds in West Union. The vehicle was described as a white 2016 Cadillac Escalade, parked on Armor Street. The vehicle was entered as stolen and an attempt to locate was put out to area agencies.

On July 26, 2024, at 10:09AM a Fayette County Deputy observed the stolen vehicle driving southbound out of West Union on Hwy. 150. A traffic stop was initiated and upon investigation, it was learned that 31-year-old Brianna Christine Hill (pictured at top) of Fayette, had taken the Cadillac the previous night.

Hill was arrested and charged with Theft in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony. She is being held at the Fayette County Jail until an initial appearance in court.
