Northern Iowa couple busted with meth and weed, cops say children were endangered

MAYNARD, IOWA – Cops raided a house in this tiny Northern Iowa town and nabbed a couple who were allegedly is possession of numerous illicit substances while placing children in danger.

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 11:00 PM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotic search warrant at 30 Long Grove Street in Maynard, Iowa. During a search of the residence, methamphetamine, marijuana, waxes, and paraphernalia were found and seized. As a result of the investigation:

Danny Eugene Miller, 54 of Maynard was arrested and charged with:

– Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd Offense (D felony)

– Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense (D felony)

– 3 counts of Child Endangerment (aggravated misdemeanors)

– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple Misdemeanor)

Also arrested was 41-year-old Cindy Sue Miller of Maynard, charged with:

– 3 counts of Child Endangerment (aggravated misdemeanors)

– Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense (serious misdemeanor)

– Possession of Marijuana 1st Offense (serious misdemeanor)

– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor)

The Millers were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where they awaited initial appearance. Numerous other drug charges are pending, including juvenile referrals.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State Patrol.
