Bring food to Mason City airport for a chance to win air tickets

MASON CITY – If you want to help fight hunger and have a chance at a free round-trip airline ticket to the Twin Cities, your opportunity is here.

The Mason City Airport announced this week that in honor of Hunger Action Month, when you bring any non-perishable food item to the Great Lakes counter at the airport throughout the month of September, you’ll be eligible for a chance to win one of four round-trip tickets between Mason City and Minneapolis.

You can donate as much food as you like but entries are limited to one per person, per week is permitted.  Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. –7 p.m at the Mason City Municipal Airport, 9184 265th Street. Weekend hours are limited.

The campaign is being held to support the 5th Annual “Flyin’ 4 Food” campaign to benefit the Hawkeye Harvest Food Bank in Mason City.
