Timothy Miller, age 70 of Gilmore City, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 at Lentz Funeral Home in Gilmore City. Services will be livestreamed via: https://www.hdezwebcast.com/show/timothy-miller. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. The family encourages you to wear black and gold to help honor Timothy and his love for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Services have been entrusted to Lentz Funeral Home of Gilmore City.

Timothy was born 6/14/1953 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Ernest and Evelyn (Cirks) Miller. He attended Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs, graduated 1970. He continued with his education graduating from Iowa Central Community College. Timothy retired from the Iowa School for the Deaf in 2014, after 17 years as a residential counselor.

Timothy’s passion for what he believed in, led him to be involved in many different organizations throughout his life: Iowa Association of the Deaf (IAD), Council Bluffs Silent Club (CBSC), North Central Club of the Deaf (NCCD), Iowa Deaf Campers (IDC), and Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf (MAAD). He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes, Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan, he would never want to miss a game.

He will be sadly missed by the love of his life and wife of 50 years, Natalie, his children Willie (Amanda) and Dirk; his grandchildren the light of his life Millie Lu and Ernie; sister and brother-in-law Lizabette (John) Matthews all of Gilmore City; niece Holly (Dylan) Applegate, nephew Jacy Matthews (Natalie) and great nephew Braxton Applegate; many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest W. and Evelyn K. Miller.

Timothy’s love of life, laughter, friends, and family is a constant reminder, to all of us, of what makes life worthwhile.

Memorials may be directed to Timothy’s family at: 206 SE D Ave, Gilmore City, IA 50541.
