Mason City police arrest man again for loud noises and disorderly conduct

MASON CITY – Mason City police have arrested a man again for loud noises and disorderly conduct.

Back in September of 2020, Mason City police investigating “loud booms” conducted a search warrant and arrested a man for possession of offensive weapons. Police conducted a search warrant at a residence in Mason City. The search warrant was a result of an on-going investigation relating to the loud booms that had been heard throughout Mason City for some time that had townsfolk buzzing.  As a result of the investigation, Doran Macklenburg of Mason City was arrested and charged with 3 counts of Unauthorized Possession of an Offensive Weapon, a Class D Felony.  Those charges were all eventually dismissed. Also that month, he was charged with three counts of disorderly conduct – loud or raucous noise. He was ordered to pay $216.00 in court costs. Also that month, Maklenburg was charged with possession of methamphetamines. He still awaits trial or possible plea deal in that case.

Today, Maklenburg, age 48, was arrested for disorderly conduct – loud or raucous noise, and is currently jailed in the Cerro Gordo county jail.
