According to city hall, Mason City’s current water storage and distribution system is comprised of two pressure zones. The Loop main project funded in this community project will create the capability to provide a much larger volume of water entering the Industrial Park area from the high-pressure zone side of the distribution system, to directly service current and future developments. Several expansions and new industrial projects are already planned in the area that will greatly increase demand in the near future. In addition to production needs, the increase in water volume and pressure also contributes to the ability for firefighting capacity needs.

The new looped distribution main will facilitate new development opportunities to over 800 acres of land in and around the Industrial Park and continue to make Mason City a premier site for a diversity of industrial projects.
