College Football: Iowa State 24, #8 Oklahoma State 21

AMES – Iowa State defeated Oklahoma State for the first time at Jack Trice Stadium since 2011.

Matt Campbell has now defeated every Big 12 team at home and on the road, both program firsts.

Iowa State increases its school-record streak of consecutive victories vs. league opponents at home to nine, the best active streak in the league.

Iowa State hasn’t lost a Big 12 game at home in nearly two years (Oct. 26, 2019 vs. Oklahoma State)…Iowa State is 14-1 at home vs. Big 12 teams in its last 15 contests…Iowa State is 16-2 in the month of October since 2017.

Matt Campbell won his 40th career game at Iowa State, joining Dan McCarney (56) and Clay Stapleton (42) as the only three coaches to reach 40 wins.

Xavier Hutchinson

*Has a reception in every game of his career (19 games)…finished with a career-high 12 receptions…surpassed 100 career receptions in the game (110).
*Finished with 125 yards, his fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career.
*Has five touchdown receptions this season and nine in his career.
*Second multi-TD receiving game of the season and his career (UNLV).

Anthony Johnson

*Recorded his 150th career tackle.

Charlie Kolar

*Has a reception in 30 consecutive games, the third-longest streak in school history…finished with a season-high six receptions. *Recorded his eighth consecutive game with four or more receptions.
*Finished with six receptions and now has 133 in his career, moving into seventh all time at Iowa State.
*Had 69 yards and now has 1,773 yards in his career, good for ninth all time at Iowa State.

Will McDonald

*Recorded back-to-back sacks in the fourth quarter and now has 7.5 sacks this season and 25 in his career…is a half sack shy of tying the career school record (JaQuan Bailey).
*Moved into the Big 12’s all-time Top 10 sacks.
*Has a sack in 17 of his last 23 games.
*Has at least one quarterback hurry in six of the last 10 games.

Andrew Mevis

*Handled all punting and kicking duties…first time since Tony Yelk in 2001 that a Cyclone has done that. *Has connected on seven-consecutive field goals, tying for the ninth-longest streak in school history.

Brock Purdy

*Registered his 40th career start…is 14-1 as ISU’s starting QB vs. Big 12 teams in Jack Trice Stadium. *Broke the ISU career record for completions…now has 844 career completions.
*Completed better than 75 percent (min. 20 attempts) for the fifth time this season, the most in the nation. *In the last two games, has completed 49-of-58 (84.5 percent) of his pass attempts.
*Posted his 13th career 300-yard passing game, extending his school record.

Mike Rose

*Made his 45th consecutive start, the ninth-best active starting streak in FBS.

Enyi Uwazurike

*Recorded his career-high fifth sack of the season…has 11 sacks in his career.
