Police in Manly warn of vehicle break-ins and joyrides

Manly, Iowa

MANLY – Police in Manly are warning citizens about vehicle break-ins and joyrides.

According to a statement from police:

“The Manly Police Department would like to remind the citizens of Manly to lock their vehicles and not to leave keys and other personal items in plain sight. We have taken a couple of reports of vehicles with the keys left in them being taken for joy rides in the late night, early morning hours. Video and other evidence leads us to believe the suspects are juveniles and that we are very close to identifying them. We are asking parents to try to make sure your children are home at night, Manly has an under 18 curfew of 10:30pm.”

The Police should word this a little different instead of sounding like its the victim’s fault.
How about:

IF IT DOESNT BELONG TO YOU DONT TAKE, VANDALIZE.
Ive heard the cops dont patrol, or investigate ANYTHING that the victims report .
