RURAL FLOYD COUNTY – Two North Iowa residents were hurt in a two-vehicle accident in rural Floyd county.

The accident took place on March 3 at about 5:17 PM at the intersection of 300th Street and Victory Avenue.

Leo Trebbien, age 17, was traveling west on 300th Avenue in his 1995 Jeep Wrangler as Andrew Hauser, age 41 of Clarksville, was traveling north on Victory Avenue in his 2011 Chevy Silverado. According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, Trebbien failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection and was struck broadside by Hauser’s Silverado. Both vehicles entered the northwest ditch.

Trebbien was flown by air ambulance to Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Hauser was taken by private vehicle to a Waverly hospital. The extent of injuries was not disclosed.
