MASON CITY – Mason City police say “VOTE YES” signs are missing – and the search is on for the possible culprits.
Apparently within the last 24 hours, Mason City police say that  “several Vote Yes signs came up missing from the yards of local residents.”
Police say they “hope that residents will support the political process by being respectful of other’s opinions and property. Support your favorite candidates and your position on the River City Renaissance Project by voting on Tuesday, not by engaging in activity that can be criminal.”
NIT has also received numerous complaints of “VOTE YES” signs placed illegally in city boulevards and other locations. Â It doesn’t appear police were called about those transgressions, however.
Police ask residents with any information about the location or disappearance of the signs to call them at 641-421-3636.
