MASON CITY – A convicted ecstasy dealer who has served time in a state prison was caught with illegal drugs and then quickly set free.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a speeding driver after 8 PM on Tuesday evening, August 29, near Killdeer Avenue and 300th Street in Cerro Gordo county. After an investigation, the driver, 34-year-old Tiffany Kay Milbrath, was arrested for two counts of possession of controlled substance (third offense meth and marijuana, Sheriff Kevin Pals tells NIT), possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. She was booked into the county jail within an hour, records show, and held on $10,000 surety bond. However, she was quickly released.
Milbrath was convicted in Benton county in 2003 for possession with intent to deliver ecstasy. She was later sent to the Mitchellville prison for women and after release, was accused of violating her parole a number of times. She was caught stealing in Mason City in April of this year and was later guilty of fifth-degree theft. She was ordered to pay courts $562.50 in fines and court fees in that case.

I happen to love this woman very much and obviously you’ve all been fed with silver spoons or never been down on your luck. You pompous sob’s. Walk a day in her or my shoes then see if you judge. I wish you all bad fortune and hard times… she’s a human being above all.
Why would you dig something up that is two years old and comment on it. If you love her so much, have you helped her get straight, or do you contribute to her problem. By the way, where is she now.
Seems to be cerro Gordo way to “slap on the hand” ….future behavior is learned from past behavior…… hello! Maybe they should pay a bigger price in the beginning and we wouldn’t have the addictions and deaths due to drugs and drunken drivers!!
” Maybe they should pay a bigger price in the beginning” What? it does not compute, how does that work?
Well, certainly looks like she has learned her lesson. Maybe she needs to spend some more time in prison.
This happened in Cerro Gordo County. Catch and release seems to be a recurring scenario. Does anybody believe we taxpayers will recoup any money / anybody will go to jail in the school board incident? Do we need a new county attorney?
