CLERMONT — A northern Iowa drug raid that authorities said turned up illegal substances and firearms led to child endangerment charges against three Clermont residents, but later court records show two cases were dismissed and a third ended in a reduced guilty plea.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and the Iowa State Patrol executed a search warrant at about 10 p.m. on June 13, 2025, at 1000 Oak St. in Clermont.
During the search, authorities said illegal substances and firearms were found and seized.
Three people were arrested.
Jacob Bradley Mohs, 37, of Clermont, was charged with three counts of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Trevor James Filyaw, 21, of Clermont, was charged with three counts of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Amanda Renee Green, 40, of Clermont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, three counts of child endangerment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail to await initial appearances.
But the cases did not all end the same way.
Later court records show the charges against Mohs were dismissed.
Court records also show the case against Filyaw was dismissed on August 1, 2025. Filyaw had faced three counts of child endangerment and one count of possession of marijuana, first offense. All four counts were dismissed by the court.
Green’s case remained active longer and ended with a plea.
Court records show Green was originally charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, along with three counts of child endangerment.
The child endangerment counts against Green were dismissed by the court.
On March 15, 2026, Green entered a negotiated guilty plea to an amended charge of possession of marijuana, first offense, a serious misdemeanor.
Judge Richard D. Stochl sentenced Green to 15 days in jail.
The case began with a late-night search warrant, allegations of drugs, firearms and children placed at risk, but ended with only one conviction listed in the court records provided — Green’s reduced marijuana possession charge.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation. Defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
