Troopers surround MC house but make no arrests

MASON CITY – Iowa State Patrol troopers surrounded a Mason City house Thursday but could not locate a wanted person.

Law enforcement officers with the Iowa State Patrol converged on 1316 South Delaware Avenue Thursday at about 6:00 PM in search of an undisclosed wanted person. Approximately six patrol cars surrounded the house, in front, behind, and at alley entrances on the north and south ends of the block.  A spokesman with the Iowa State Patrol said the officers were attempting to serving a “low threat warrant” but the subject “wasn’t home”.

A neighbor who watched the law enforcement officers told NIT that  he “always thought there was something going on” at the residence, which is owned by three members of the Dodge family.  “The cops looked like they meant business,” the man continued.  “The came up to the house real tentative, hands on their holsters.”
