CHARLES CITY – A man who spent time in an Iowa prison was arrested for felony domestic abuse assault in Charles City.

On August 7, 2017 at about 8:41 PM, officers with the Charles City police department encountered 26-year-old Tyrecas Matlock in the 700 block of 8th Avenue. They arrested him on a charge of felony D third-offense domestic abuse assault. He was taken to jail that night and remains held there. Matlock was appointed a public defender.
