MASON CITY – A Mason City man is behind bars facing serious charges after causing trouble in the North End of town.
Police tell NIT that on February 14, 2017, a person reported that 37-year-old Eric Devon Brown “made a phone call and threatened to call the recipient after police warned Brown not to have any further contact with the person.” Officers went to 7 15th Street NE to investigate, and arrested Brown that evening on a charge of first-degree harassment. He was soon released from jail, only to allegedly cause more trouble.
On February 16, 2017, a burglary was reported at 126 13th Street NE. Police say some medication was stolen. After investigation, Brown was arrested that same evening for felony third-degree burglary. He remains jailed as he awaits a February 24 court date.
