MASON CITY – An Illinois man allegedly committed a child molestation in Mason City and was caught by law enforcement to face charges.
Mason City police tell NIT that a child molestation was reported on November 28, 2016 to the Mason City police department. “The act(s) occurred prior in Mason City,” a police spokesman says, and court records show the crime was committed on February 26, 2015.
Police investigated the report and applied for an arrest warrant on Jan 10, 2017 for 29-year-old Sean Anthony Dright alleging that he committed a crime of Class C Felony Lascivious Acts with a Child.
As a result of the warrant, Dright was arrested on February 21, 2017 in Princeton, Illinois by Bureau County law enforcement. Dright was then transported to the Cerro Gordo county jail, where he is being held on $10,000 cash or surety bond. He awaits a court date set for the morning of March 3.
A no-contact order between Dright and his alleged victim was set by a judge.
