CLEAR LAKE – A Clear Lake man who has been accused of felony drug possession in the past was caught this weekend with meth.
Cerro Gordo deputies conducted a traffic stop Saturday, October 29 just before 2 AM at 4th Avenue South and South Shore Drive. The driver allegedly had improper brake lights on the vehicle. During the traffic stop, the driver, 52-year-old Terry Lynn Hansen, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on a charge third-offense illegal drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the county jail. He was apparently booked and quickly released.
Hansen was accused of a number of felonies connected to illegal drug possession with intent to deliver back in 2002 in Bremer county. He pled guilty to lesser crimes and drunk driving, instead, but still owned well over $1,500 to Iowa courts in that case.
