The Historic Park Inn proudly presents One Funny Mother, at the North Iowa Community Auditorium on the NIACC campus at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. This presentation is part of the 2017-2018 Performing Arts and Leadership Series for the 20th Anniversary Season.
This is a great “Girl’s Night Out” or date night for anyone who is a mom, has a mom, or is married to a mom. Have you ever gone unshowered for days, fought with your husband over who works harder, or had a kid pee on you? Dena Blizzard’s hilarious new show, One Funny Mother, will make you realize you’re not crazy…motherhood is!
One Funny Mother stars comedian, former Miss New Jersey, and married mother of three, Dena Blizzard, in her hilarious solo comedy show about the trials and tribulations of motherhood and marriage. An outrageous and side splitting 80 minutes of sass that follows Dena on a hilarious journey through her day as she prepares for her big “Girls Night Out.” Along the way she laments how her life and marriage have changed since becoming a mother of three, wrestling with the eternal question, “Have I gone crazy since having these kids?” The answer is a hysterical, “laugh ’til your face hurts” comedy that you won’t want to miss!
One Funny Mother is an Off Broadway hit currently touring the United States. It has been licensed overseas and was recently named “Best One-Woman Show” at the 2015 United Solo Festival in New York City.
Dena Blizzard of One Funny Mother will be hosting a game night at the Historic Park Inn! We will be playing Dena’s new game, “Chardonnay Go” in the ballroom of the Historic Park Inn on Friday, January 26th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling the NIACC Box Office at 641-422-4188. There will be 18 tables of 8 players, and the winner at each table will leave with the board game. Each table will start with two bottles of wine to split, and there will be fabulous hors d’oeuvres provided by the 1910 Grille for all. A cash bar will be available.
Dena will kick off the game night by introducing the game and mingle from table to table while we play! Chardonnay Go is a hilarious new board game for Wine Lovers, Moms and Other Shameless People based on the viral sensation, “Chardonnay Go,” where women search for the perfect glass of wine! Be the first to reach the elusive tasting room while participating in hilarious challenges and reciting complete nonsense. The perfect combination of the classic board game and dirty charades!
Chardonnay Go is the perfect game or a great couples game night! A must have for wine lovers, moms and other shameless people!
