BOONE COUNTY – Two Iowa women are dead after a t-bone car accident in Boone county.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on Friday, February 3, 2023. At 5:11 PM that day, a 2016 Ford Escape operated by 55-year-old Pamela Mary Borkowski of Boone was sitting at a stop sign on SE Marshall Street facing southbound. At this time, a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty pickup truck operated by 20-year-old Joshua Ryan Lantz of Pella, Iowa, was westbound on Highway 30. The Escape then entered into the intersection, into the path of the pickup, and a collision occurred.

As a result of the crash, Pamela Mary Borkowski was killed. Also killed was her passenger, 32-year-old Stephanie Jeanne Borkowski of Boone. All three occupants of the pickup were transported to a Boone hospital for minor injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
