MASON CITY – A North Iowa man has been sent to jail for illegal drug possession.
Kyle Michael Lines, age 25 formerly of Rudd, is in the Cerro Gordo county jail at this time. He is serving a two day jail sentence for first-offense possession of marijuana connected to an arrest back on March 4 by the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office. Lines had been wanted on an arrest warrant since November of 2015 in connection to a charge of illegal social host within the county. During the stop, Lines was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia along with possession of marijuana.
In connection to the plea deal, a judge ordered Lines to pay $880.00 in fines and court fees for the drug possession charge along with the jail term. The charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dropped. Lines awaits a July 22 non-jury trial on the social host charge.
