Kum & Go outcast found by cops after weeks of searching

MASON CITY – A man banned by Kum & Go from all its stores had been sought by police for weeks for going back into a store and stealing gloves.

Police tell NIT that at about 2:58 AM on April 24, 2016, MCPD officers observed 33-year-old Bradley Fielding and a female walking in the 1400 block of North Federal Avenue. One of the officers had been trying to locate Fielding as a possible suspect in a shoplifting from Kum & Go (east location in Mason City) that was reported on March 24, 2016. Fielding had been banned prior to that incident from all Kum & Go properties for a different incident that occurred on January 20, 2016.

Due to the officer’s suspicion, Fielding was approached by law enforcement as he walked on North Federal the morning of April 24. He was then arrested for criminal trespass and third degree theft for the March 24, 2016 incident. Police say Fielding allegedly shoplifted some work gloves that day. The charge was enhanced due to multiple prior theft convictions. As he was arrested, the officer found suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in Fielding’s possession. He was charged with those offenses also. The drug charges were enhanced also due to one prior controlled substance conviction.

The female that was with Fielding was not charged.

Fielding remains in the county jail, held on bond until an April 29 hearing.

Kum & Go has a most wanted list? Lol

Was this like an APB?

heard he was on the top of the hiring list at the hog plant

His dad murdered another inmate in the old Cerro Gordo county jail in ’86. Imagine growing up with that following you around. This kid never had a chance!

Looks like a good upstanding community member to me. 3:58AM, he is just misunderstood. I understand working the second or third shift but doesn’t sound like he works. Get off the drugs already, more to come to town with the hog plant coming to town and our cops are going to have to learn 6 new languages.

John who made you the judge ? You already know what the people are going to be like that work at the hog plant . You know they will be speaking six different languages ? Wow your good ,

According to the chief of police of Storm Lake, they now have 18 different languages spoken there. It’s already been stated all Mason City schools will have to have several interpreters in each school to handle all the different languages they will have to deal with.

Doesn’t mean it will happen here you racist.

I do not believe he is a racist just a realist. If you don’t think it will happen here you are just a dreamer.

Look at him, he’s just misunderstood. I wonder if he has thought about filing a complaint with the human rights commission.
