DES MOINES – A convicted robber escaped from a residential work release facility and Iowa law enforcement is searching for him.
Timothy Lee Watson, age 45, was transferred to the Fort Des Moines Work Release Facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole. Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.
Watson’s offenses include Robbery Second Degree and Theft First Degree (3 Counts).

DATE OF ESCAPE: March 6, 2016
Watson was placed on escape status after failing to return to the facility from employment. Watson was placed on Work Release following parole revocation on January 13, 2016. Information as to Watson’s whereabouts should be reported to the Des Moines Police Department or Polk County Sheriffs Department.
