CHARLES CITY – Police say this Charles City woman backed her old Chrysler van into a 2024 Ford F-150 and left the accident scene – but she didn’t get away with what she did.

According to Charles City police, a collision occurred on March 3, 2025. At 2:43 PM that day, officers were called to the 600 block of Gilbert Street at a private parking lot in the area to investigate a two-vehicle collision. Police determined that a red 2014 Chrysler Town & Country van operated by 33-year-old Lynsie Reibsamen of Charles City backed into a legally-parked and unoccupied white 2024 Ford F-150. This collision caused $1,000 worth of property damage.

According to police, Reibsamen had left the scene and was located later.

Records show she was cited for:

– OPERATION WITHOUT REGISTRATION

– FAILURE TO PROVIDE PROOF OF FINANCIAL LIABILITY – ACCIDENT

Both are still in court at this time.
