NEW HAMPTON – Two North Iowa men were injured in a Chickasaw county auto accident Friday afternoon.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, at about 2 PM Friday on County Road B57 near Chickasaw Park Road, 68-year-old Dennis Vetter of Ionia was traveling eastbound in his 2003 Chevy Cavalier when he went to make a left turn onto Chickasaw Park Road. However, he failed to yield to 27-year-old Travis Wieman of Charles City who was driving his 1993 Ford F-250 pickup truck. Wieman’s pickup struck Vetter’s Cavalier in the passenger side door.
Both men were injured and transported by ambulance to a New Hampton hospital. There was no word on either man’s condition.
