MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed after police were called to in investigate a case of domestic violence.
Mason City police were called to a rental house at 246 8th Street SE on the morning of July 31 to investigate a domestic abuse incident. That day, an arrest warrant was issued for 27-year-old Earl Javon Mines, who lives at that address.
On August 4, deputies with the Cerro Gordo county sheriff’s office located and arrested Mines on a charge of aggravated domestic assault involving strangulation. Mines was taken to jail, booked and held and notified of a no-contact order. He was released from jail as he awaits an August 21 court hearing.
