MASON CITY – A man previously accused of several domestic abuse crimes was jailed again for the same deed early Sunday.
Mason City police were called to the 1200 block of North Federal Avenue after 1 AM Sunday for a physical domestic. Upon arrival, police could not locate the suspect, 39-year-old Justin Duane Ewing. However, Ewing was soon located by law enforcement and arrested on charges of felony domestic abuse assault and interference with official acts.
Ewing was paroled from an Iowa prison in 2013. He has been charged with several domestic abuse crimes previously and has served time in Clarinda and Mt. Pleasant prisons for violent crimes that caused injuries to his victims.
Ewing is being held in the county jail on no bond as he awaits a court date.
