MASON CITY – A Worth county man was jailed after police were called to quiet a disturbance.
Cerro Gordo deputies and Mason City police were called to the 1200 block of North Federal at about 1:29 AM after a man was involved in a dispute there. After an investigation, police arrested 24-year-old Johnny Joe Petersen of Manly on unspecified charges.
Petersen was taken to the county jail, processed and released.
This was around Burk’s or the Liquor Store. Happens almost every weekend anymore.
Two disturbances in the 1200 block of north federal about the same time. Was this a lovers quarrel that got out of control with the help of alcohol.
