MARSHALLTOWN, IOWA – State and local law enforcement authorities are seeking a fugitive at this time after a man was gunned down in Marshalltown late Saturday.
According to the Marshalltown Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Marshalltown police were called to a residence to investigate a shooting at about 11:11 PM Saturday. Upon arrival at 1203 West Church Street, officers encountered a male subject who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he soon died from his injuries. The man’s name was not released.
In the aftermath of the shooting, police are now seeking a male suspect, 19-year-old Jose Enrique Morales. He is now wanted for murder in the first degree. Morales is considered armed and dangerous.
