An Austin man was found guilty Friday in Mower County Court for persuading girls 13 and younger to perform sexual acts.
Brayden William Woodworth, 19, was convicted of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct and sentenced to 10 years’ supervised probation and must register as a predatory offender. Two other charges, felony first-degree sexual conduct with a person younger than 13 and misdemeanor indecent exposure, were dropped.
Woodworth allegedly persuaded three girls, ages 12 to 13, to perform sexual acts on him in exchange for cigarettes on Feb. 25. After detectives interviewed the victims, who admitted what had happened, Woodworth was arrested and put in the Mower County jail on $100,000 bail.
