HAWKEYE – An Iowa man was placed under arrest after a boy showed up at school with serious injuries.
On October 17, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a child who had come to school with suspicious injuries. The child was taken to Palmer Hospital where it was learned that he had sustained serious but not life threatening injuries.
Upon an investigation, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office arrested and charged Kenneth John Becker Jr. age 37 of Hawkeye with child endangerment causing serious injury, a class D felony. If convicted, Becker could face up to five years in prison.
The Sheriff’s Office then notified the Department of Human Services who then conducted an investigation and had the child removed from the home and placed with family.
Becker posted a $10,000.00 cash bond and was released.
