CHARLES CITY – Police responded to a disturbance and arrested a man for a domestic assault earlier this week in Charles City.
On August 23, jut before 3 AM, Charles City police responded to a disturbance at at the 300 block of 9th Avenue. After an investigation, police arrested 34-year-old Shaun J. Martin on a charge of domestic abuse assault. Martin was taken to jail and later released as he awaits a September 19 court date.
Martin was charged in April of 2013 with domestic abuse assault but the charge was dismissed.
