OSAGE – Police in Osage reported that door-to-door salespersons who were arrested in Mason City on May 28th were given permits on May 30th.
Police said that City Hall in Osage issued a permit to six individuals to sell an organic cleaner door to door for May 30th only. Some of those individuals who were selling in Osage had been arrested two days earlier in Mason City.
There were no major issues with the salespersons reported, however, some Osage residents were less than thrilled that the peddlers stopped by.
“Not a good experience with the guy who came to my door this evening,” one Osage woman said.
Another man said “Not a good group, I chased them away.”

I still maintain that there was probably more to the story than just door to door peddling. My suspicious dark side believes is was more about canvassing the neighborhood to find potential targets for subsequent criminal activity. Going door to door selling cleaning supplies? Not.
