Band Fest kicks off today in Mason City

MASON CITY – The 2014 Band Fest celebration begins today, May 22 in downtown Mason City.

At 6:30 PM, the All Middle School Band will play in Central Park. Then, at 7:00 PM, the Mason City Municipal Band will perform, again in Central Park.

On Friday, May 23, the carnival will open in East Park at 5:00 PM. At the same time, A car cruise-in and exhibit will open in the park. Also at 5:00 PM in East Park, the Mason City High School Orchestra will perform in the Band Shell. More music follows, at 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM, when Jesse Allen Stewart and then Brushville perform at the East Park North Stage.

On Saturday, the Band Fest parade begins at 10:00 AM at East State Street and North Penn Avenue.

On Sunday and Monday, the carnival continues.

Everybody who commented negatively about this can either volunteer next year or walk in the parade. Easy to throw stones when you live in a freaking glass house losers!
